Bengaluru, 13th February 2018:  The Indian Men's team ended their campaign after losing 68-78 to Indonesia in a very competitive final game at the 18th Asian Games invitational Tournament 5x5 Basketball Test Event Road to Asian Games 2018 which concluded in Istora Sanayan Hall, Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, South Jakarta yesterday.

 

India were the first runner-up whereas Thailand were the second runner-up. The first quarter of the game saw both the teams competing at their highest level but Indonesia took a single point lead over India and took it even further in the next two quarters making it 58-45. India fought really hard in the fourth quarter to bounce back and go for the gold but it wasn’t enough as Indonesia kept on scoring at regular intervals. Forward Aravind Annadurai from India led all the scorers in the game with 25 points, whereas Indian veterans Joginder Singh and Yadwinder Singh chipped in with 15 and 13 points of their own. Andakara Prastawa led the Indonesian team with 18 points.
