Fighting India make higher ranked Korea sweat for win

In a morale boosting display of confident and aggressive basketball, 51st ranked India made DPR Korea, ranked 19th in the world, work hard for the 104-85 win in the 4th FIBA Asia Championship for U16 Boys that is underway in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Indian U16 boys’ team had its task cut out facing three time defending champions China at the 4th FIBA Asia U16 Championship that tipped off in Jakarta, Indonesia earlier today. India started off neck and neck, trailing China 9-10 midway through the first period, but couldn’t sustain the momentum; as its consistent opponents went on to clinch the 116-57 win.

The final 12 member Indian U16 boys squad under the helm of Head Coach Mahendra Singh Rathore is all set to participate in the 4th FIBA Asia U16 Championship that will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 29th October to 7th November 2015.

Indian Men’s Basketball Team win both qualifying games at 3x3 World Games, advance to quarterfinal

The Indian Men’s Team had a successful day of qualifying games at the 3x3 PREMIER.EXE World Games 2015 taking place in Chengdu, China. The squad, comprising guards Akilan Pari and Vinay Kaushik, and forwards Arvind Arumugam and Gurvinder Singh Gill, won both their qualifying games against Korea Jeonju and Japan Dreams in Pool C.
